Quite theatrical. I was waiting for him to say, “scene” but it never came.

I don’t believe that casting ugly words on anything proves it to be just that. And I think in feigning that he does not want to belittle his viewer (while screaming at them like they’re children) he becomes absent minding when it comes to laying down alternatives to the system. Instead his strategy is to tell us that we are smart and in being so smart like him, why would we not share in his ideals. Quite manipulative.

He is right about the gun changing hands. I don’t believe dramatic change can come by having a different party rule the same system. But I also would rather not let someone else decide for me, for that is what would inevitably happen.

Walking away was the one alternative he purposed. And that one should do this to gain certain virtues. Not voting, in most elections is the same as voting when considering the outcome. The difference is that the individual who did not vote will gain whatever it is they thought the would gain by not voting. So if it is pride you think you will gain by not voting, then pride you will receive. Is there any other way that pride can be gained, except by not voting? Is there anything completed that you set out to complete that does not leave you with a feeling of pride? Could you not set out to vote, vote, and feel proud of your accomplishment? And don’t virtues come from an internal scale that weighs your actions against your believes? If so, by doing what this man tells me to do could in no way increase sense of pride. And actually, on this particular topic, it’s doing the opposite of his suggestion that did.
